Money Matters

It's Christmas time and I got no job -- meaning NO money ... It's just sad that I can't buy gifts for everyone :-( I know gifts are not the real essence of Christmas ... but somehow .. I miss wrapping gifts and do some Christmas shopping.

Rubiks

I bought a magic cube for only P20. I could solve one side and I've been wanting to solve the 6 sides but I know it would take extreme patience. And I don't have that! Anyways, I was able to solve the RUBIK cube .. but with cheating .. hahaha!

12 days of Christmas

I was reading a magazine and found the meaning of the 12 days of Christmas. Im a Catholic since birth but I didn't know them... :-(

The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.

Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments

Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.

The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.

The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.

The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.

Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit--Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.

The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.

Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit--Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control.

The ten lords a-leaping were the ten commandments.

The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.

The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed.

So now, we only have 11 days before Christmas.... :-)

Talents

Ive been wanting to try digiscrapping ... but I'm not patient enough and I got no artistic talents.

I watched an anime "Law of Ueki" wherein everytime he harms an innocent civilian one talent was taken away from him. He got a talent in studying wherein he understood anything after just one reading. But after his studying talent was taken away, he realized that he could still understand it but he need to work hard 100 times than before.

In summary ... if you have no talent .. hardwork counts! So I guess ... that's what I need to do. Try and try ... so just bear with my digiscraps... hahahah!

I'm always affected by a long term relationship break ups ... though I haven't experienced it yet. I'm scared to actually undergo the same pain.

A few days back a HS friend texted me. She and her bf ended their almost 5 years relationship. Reason: the guy admitted that there's someone else on the his part. :-( How could he just texted it and doesn't even have the guts to admit it personally?!

One other reason for their breakup is the guy's parents. Duh?! "Ayaw nila mama e.. ayaw talga nila" (Haller?! Mama's boy?!!) If I know ... he is just a COWARD! Other reason ~ Religion .... the girl is a renewed Christian and the guy is a Catholic... Somehow, it's complicated for the guy and I don't know why. I think it's best that you should just forget about the Religion because what's important is your faith to God.

But whatever the reason is I can't simply take a 3rd party! And if the guy is still texting you asking to continue a friendly relationship. Haller?! Don't you have any decency at all?! Or you just wanted to two-time???

I know my friend is a strong person ... she could mend her broken heart in no time at all. Good thing, I haven't met the guy. Lucky for him! Hahaha!

Frankenstein

I'm done reading Mary Shelly's Frankenstein (adaptation of the original story ~ film by Kenneth Branagh) and I happen to like it (I finish it in just 2 days).

I'm sure a lot of people already knows about the classical novel (so no need for a plot/summary) Dr. Victor Frankenstein creating a monster-like creature, hoping to cheat DEATH.

What I really like in this book is how the story unfolds ... how he searched for the knowledge to revive life .. the experiments (though I really don't fully understand them), the researchs ~ ALCHEMY ... I thought before that the doctor is a mad scientist but after I read the book it only shows that Dr. Frankenstein is a genius. As said in the reviews, the doctor is a dangerously sane one. I also like the way how the creature gains knowledge ... if only he was guided accordingly he could be a great being. Sadly, he burned himself ... too bad!

Victor groped for the knowledge on where does life come from? Thinking it's just a electronics waves or any fluid that could give life to certain being. I know Life is a divine gift from GOD. But I can't help to think what if in the future, scientist could actually create a "CREATURE" as such.... imagine, no souls! It's against our Christian belief (even if you aren't Christian-its immoral). Could it mean the end of the world? People trying to be GOD. I like the idea of alchemy but not the prospect of giving life to dead ones. It's scary ...
