6th year

Jan 28 -- our official day ...

HAPPY 6th year ANNIVERSARY!

In all our daily comings and goings God has been with us In every unexpected trial God has sustained us In times when our faith has been sorely tried God has been faithful to us And in every moment of our loving God's own love has lighted our way

~ friend's said that 6th yr is the crucial time ...

I pray that God would be the center of our relationship

Matthew 6:33

I do have lot of things that I'm asking from God. Somehow, I didn't get any response from Him. Or maybe I just didn't see the sign clearly. Or perhaps because I'm not seeking Him first and do the right thing. I always sinned against him and give in to temptations and evil human desires.

After months of not attending Church, at long last we attended this Sunday (Jan 13) and this is the verse that I learned and need to live by.

Matthew 6:33
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

I'm hoping that we could regularly attend church and start our daily devotion again. And grow more spiritually with our relationship to God.

Good Samaritan

If you look around you'll see many people of different walks of life. Streets are busy with vendors, children, men and women. All of them are trying to earn a living. Somehow I feel so blessed.

There are also who just begs and ask for alms. People like .. asking because they have illness (such as goiter, impaired, blind, sick child, hydrocephalus, etc...); people asking for money to buy food (mostly street children); asking for fare to go back to wherever the heck their province is; asking for donations (for the benefit of children).

When I feel like it I give and tried to be a good samaritan. Giving them a little/big amount. But it's not really a good practice, since you will just be indulging them. It's better to teach them to fish than give them fish.. right??

But I can't help and think that it could be their racket just to gain money. For sure, evil are lurking in their minds especially we are living here in the Philippines. We cannot just trust someone. Then after helping them and and you found out that you've been tricked, you'll feel bad. Perhaps they are honest or maybe not but what's important is that your heart that truly gives.

As the song goes "Give a little love and it all comes back to you..."

By the way, I no longer see those people who distributes envelopes and sings a Christmas song for the benefit of the street children/blind. But come November-December they'll be back for sure... hehehe!
